The Columbus Dream Center provides free, routine outpatient health and wellness services to the medically underserved and homeless in Columbus. Through our partnership with Mount Carmel Health and their Mobile Medical Outreach, we are able to serve many each week with safe, quality care.

Each week at The Columbus Dream Center hundreds of hot meals are served to people in our community by teams from organizations and churches across Columbus. Ever expanding, this outreach, now also includes pre-packed lunch distribution and meals for kids on the weekend.

Many families have to choose between rent and food. The Columbus Dream Center helps alleviate one choice through our emergency food assistance. This program also helps provide critical materials to help the homeless in our city such as tents, sleeping bags, blankets and warm coats. Last year, nearly 5000 households were helped through this program and nearly over 8000 individuals were served.

Starting point is the human resource arm of The Columbus Dream Center, assisting people to get on their feet by helping those in need to obtain state ID’s, birth certificates, emergency help with utility bills and household necessities and assistance in job placement.

The Columbus Dream Center seeks to create a second-home like atmosphere for nearby children to grow and develop healthy relationships with volunteers and one another while receiving character building and bible lessons, recreation and nutritious meals. This program’s focus is on building the foundation for children to trust, hope and begin to dream.

At the root of homelessness, addiction and so many other life-controlling issues in our modern world is a lack of a relationship with Christ. So we work to teach people how to get their spiritual needs met by relating to God personally through prayer, Bible study and community.

Our weekly homeless outreach mobilizes teams to reach homeless people where they are, providing them with meals, resources and inviting them into a community where they can learn about God and God’s plan for their life.

Together with hundreds of volunteers and local churches, we host several events each year aimed at helping our neighbors celebrate important holidays and milestones including mother’s day, back-to-school, Thanksgiving and Christmas!
